1.GEORGE LYNCH
George Lynch was born in Scotland in 1748 and died in Monroe County VA
in 1821. He married Margaret "Peggy" McCorkle in Scotland in 1769.
In 1770, the family emigrated to America and settled in Lancaster County
PA for a time. George served in the Lancaster County
Militia in the American Revolution with the rank of Third Corporal in Captain
Robert Buyers First Company of the Fifth Batallion. The
family moved to Monroe County VA before 1786.

William Lynch was one of triplets born to George and Margaret (McCorkle)
Lynch, in Monroe County VA June 4, 1786. He married Rachel Dolan
in Monroe County January 20, 1808. About 1855, William
and Rachel and part of their grown children moved to present day Roane
County WV.

LYNCH
John Donohue Lynch, a son of William and Rachel (Dolan) Lynch, was born
in Monroe County VA in 1810. He married Mary Jane Jones in Monroe
County. Mary was born in Monroe County in 1824 and died in Roane
County WV in 1869. About 1855, the family moved to Roane County VA (WV)
with John's parents and his sister Rachel and brother in Law Thomas Lowery.
